Description
From the American (N)ation
collection — the original four American flag–themed abstract paintings that sparked a movement. Each piece reimagines the flag not as an emblem of perfection, but as a living mirror: cracked, tagged, and inked with the stories of the people it represents.
In America(n) Flag Original Print (1 of 4) , the American dream is reflected through layers of texture, poetry, and critique. This print captures the spirit of a nation built from contradiction — freedom and vanity, unity and division, creation and decay. The flag becomes a surface for self-expression, rebellion, and renewal.
Printed on archival 8.5 x 11 inch paper, each work preserves the tactile energy of the original painting — a fusion of abstract gesture, symbolic form, and social reflection.
This collection was born from the question: What does it mean to be American now?
It stands as both elegy and anthem — for the individuals who make the nation, and the nation that makes the individual.
Artist’s Statement
“The purpose of these artworks and poems was to find the stillness in the American heart.
Beyond prideful nationalism and consumerism, America is about achieving something better.
If I’m going to call myself American, I’ll define what that means.
Because nothing will smudge what I can become.”
